Here is the ground the questions cover. Prep counting extends the number sequence to 20 and beyond: saying the numbers forwards in order, counting back from ten, reading and writing numerals to 20, and counting a collection of up to 20 objects accurately. Counting on from a number other than one is the bridge to addition, so the curriculum asks children to start at, say, seven and keep going.
The items are tagged to the Victorian Curriculum for Prep, so a score here reflects the standard a Prep class is working to, not a generic online level.
A wrong answer is more useful than a right one if you know why it happened. In sessions with Prep students, these are the patterns our tutors see most:
Spotting which one applies is the useful part; the fix is usually quick once the misunderstanding is out in the open.
If the quiz shows a gap, more of the same worksheets rarely fixes it. Try these instead:
At this age, ten minutes of playful, concrete practice beats a worksheet. Use real objects, talk through what is happening and stop while it is still fun.
We keep 9 counting to 20 questions for Prep that meet our standard, at the easy and at-level tiers, and this page serves 9 of them at a time. The default set is stable, so a teacher or parent can share the link; a fresh set is one click away. Marking happens on our server so the answer key cannot be read from the page.

Because a single-topic set is the most precise free check available: if the score is low, the gap is in counting to 20 and nowhere else. There are 9 eligible questions on this topic in our Prep Maths bank, so several different sets are available before any repeat.
From RHZ Tutoring's own Prep Maths question bank, written to the Victorian Curriculum, checked by a tutor and passed through an automated quality gate. The same bank feeds our tutoring sessions and the free Skills Check. The questions on this page sit at the easy and at-level tiers.
Read the explanation for each incorrect answer first; most gaps in counting to 20 are one of the misconceptions listed on this page. Then try a second set a few days later. If it is still low, the free Skills Check will show whether the gap is confined to this topic, and a tutor can build a short catch-up plan.
