Parents and students in Victoria search for the same handful of things every year: when the VCE exams are, what an ATAR is and how to estimate one, when the school holidays fall, when NAPLAN is, and what tutoring should cost. Most of the pages that answer those questions are either out of date, buried in a PDF, or built to collect an email address before showing anything. We wanted a set of pages that answer the question on the page, in plain English, with the interactive part working in your browser and nothing collected. Everything here is free and stays free.
The tools are honest about what they are. The ATAR calculator labels its scaling and conversion tables as approximations of typical VTAC patterns, because they are; only VTAC calculates ATARs. The exam timetable prints only the dates we have confirmed and links the VCAA timetable for the rest. The school holidays guide shows 2027 as to be confirmed until the Department of Education publishes it. The cost calculator shows a typical market range clearly marked as not a quote next to our own published rates.
A sensible order for a Year 12 family in Term 3 or 4: read VCE exams explained once so the vocabulary is clear; put the exam dates on the calendar; run the ATAR calculator with current estimates to see which subject moves the result most; then build a plan in the study timetable planner working backwards from each exam. For a Year 11 family, the same pages plus the VCE 2027 Head Start, which begins in September. RHZ Tutoring is a small tutoring centre at 17/47 Apex Drive, Truganina VIC 3029, teaching maths, English, science, NAPLAN, selective-entry and VCE in small groups and one-to-one, in person and online Australia-wide.
